During Following Up New Suez Canal Murals: Admiral Mohab Mamish Praised AC Performance and Honored AC Chairman the Canal Armor

Mohab Mamish, the Head of the Suez Canal Authority during his tour following up the final preparation for the inauguration of New Suez Canal praised the performance and work quality of the AC in executing the 2 murals "From the mother of the world (Egypt) to the whole world" and " Egypt Rejoices " in a record time. He thanked Eng. Mohsen Salah – AC Chairman and honored him with the Suez Canal's Armor.
Eng. Mohsen Salah stated that the 2 murals were designed by the international artist Abdel Salam Eid – Mural Professor in the Fine Arts Faculty – Alexandria University.  The 2 murals were structurally designed by the Engineering Consultancy Department of the Arab Contractors Company. The 1st mural "From the mother of the world (Egypt) to the whole world" resembled a huge globe centralized with the canal symbol 12m diameter, 23m height and surrounded with 104 flag-poles resembles the countries which crossing the canal divided into  52 flag-poles on the right of the globe and 52 on the left, each pole is 18m height.
The 2nd mural "Egypt Rejoices" characterized by its Egyptian style using two identical figures of Isis symbolizing motherhood, power, bestowment carrying a medal with the momentary dome in Port Said which is a universal symbol for Suez Canal.
It is noteworthy that the murals' works were executed in record time less than a month, 3 night shifts/24hours. Sinai Branch, Ismailia Shipyard, Canal Branch and Engineering Consultancy Department participated in the execution works. The total amounts of the steel work 250 tons, rubble masonry 25000ml, excavation works 20000m?, rehabilitation works 5000m? and foundation 7000m?.
