Within the Armed forces celebration of the Martyr's Day on 9th March, President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi inaugurated 19 projects in the fields of roads, bridges and general services executed by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority. The total value of these projects is EGP 3.5 billion. The projects included the Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi Mosque in the Fifth Settlement.
the Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Military Production Colonel, Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, Former Minister of Defence, the Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company Chairman a number of Armed Forces senior leaders, officers, ministers, officials and public figures attended the event. AC Chairman said that the mosque is an architectural masterpiece built upon 8000m², accommodating 3000 prayers. It includes 2 main halls (accommodating 1250 persons), 5 smaller halls (accommodating 1300 persons), basement accommodating 300 cars, parkings, servicing areas and green areas. Besides, it has 3 entrances and 2 minarets and 3 domes.
