Successful Tour to AC Delegation in Chad, Equatorial Guinea and Ethiopia; New Contracts in Kenya and Morocco

Within the framework of exporting the construction industry, contributing in the development of the African continent  and increasing the cooperation with the Africans; a delegation from the Arab Contractors toured Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia to follow-up the ongoing projects and having new business opportunities and they were welcomed by the African presidents and officials.
President of Chad welcomed the AC delegation headed by Eng. Ashraf Rateb – Board Member in the presence of infrastructure, transport and civil aviation ministers. They discussed the ongoing projects status, such as: Ngouri- N'Djamena Palala Road (75% executed work), Ministry of Foreign Affairs Building. Besides, they discussed future projects as: Ngouri-Bol Road, Abéché-Adré Road (176km) and Wastewater projects in N'Djamena.
Moreover, they agreed-upon the construction of new headquarter in N'Djamena, and the Chadian President promised that the foundation stone will be laid down at the beginning of the next December.  
On the other hand, AC delegation visited Equatorial Guinea, Eng. Ashraf Rateb declared that the Guinean President Obiang Nguema awarded AC the construction of the biggest touristic site in Pico mountain which is the highest mountain in Equatorial Guinea, its height is 3000m. The project scope of work: a status for Virgin Mary, a church, a fountain and a general site works). The 1st phase of the project total cost is 20million US$, the execution period is a year.
The Guinean President praised the AC efforts and ordered to repeat the works done in Fish Town in the new capital Oyala. The project includes 500 housing units with utilities, roads and services with a total cost 50 million US$, the execution period is 2 years.
In addition to these, the delegation visited Ethiopia, thus the AC is executing Agremariam road which is 188km length and its total cost is 110 million US$. It is part of the main roadway which will link between Cairo and Cape Town in South Africa. Eng. Ashraf Rateb promised that the 1st phase of Agremariam (98km) will be accomplished by the next March.
Within the framework of the social role of the AC in Africa, 10 Ethiopian Engineers invited to attend training in AC Institute in Cairo.
AC delegation will continue its rocket tour to Kenya to study the construction of road project with another company by a fund from Islamic Development Bank in Kenya. Moreover, they will visit Morocco to study the construction of road project; it is noteworthy that AC had a prequalification there which is the construction of Al Naddour International Airport.
