Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab – the Prime Minister and Dr. Moustafa Madbouly – the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities inaugurated the expansion project of the Water Desalination Plant for Youth Village in Sharm El Sheikh to overcome the water shortage in the city.
AC Sinai Branch Manager declared that the project objective is water feeding to the airport, youth village and linking to the strategic tanks to feed Sharm El Sheikh City. He added that the plant using Reverse Osmosis. It increase the water pumping from 2000m³/day to 8000m³/day, the plant feeds 22 pumping wells and 6 drain wells linked to the strategic tanks feeding the city in case of water shortage. The project total cost is EGP 54 million.
