Cairo Governor inaugurated the inlet of North Torrah Bridge which contributes in easing traffic on Maadi railroad crossings and linking between middle of Maadi, Cornich Maadi and Autostrad. Its total cost amounted to EGP 16 million. The Project Manager stated that the bridge total length is 275 m, width 7.5 m and capacity 70 tons. The total amount of the reinforced concrete used in the bridge construction is 2200 m³, iron 1000 tons and the total size of the metal structure including the bridge spans above the railway and the metro is 166.45 tons.
