Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities and AC Chairman visited the expansions of Al Obour Treatment Plant Intakes, Pumps and Transmission Line for Turbid Water . The Housing Minister stated that the capacity of the plant will increase from 660m³/day to 1.1 million m³/day and will be executed by the AC. The project total cost is EGP 311 million. The project and the treatment plant operation date will be on the coming May instead of September. It will contribute to solve the potable water problems in Al Obour, Al Shrouk and Al Salam Cities before the coming Summer. The Minister stressed on increasing the working hours in the project and exhort the best efforts to accomplish it. Besides, he stated that he will visit all the project to follow-up the work progress and solving any problem. Moreover, he is going to visit the Upper Egypt projects within the coming coming days.
