Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab – Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, General Tarek El Mahdi – Alexandria Governor and Eng. Mohsen Salah – AC Chairman inaugurated Al Manshiat Water Purification Plant II with a total cost EGP 430 million.
The plant capacity is 240.000m³/day and contributes in pumping water to West Alexandria and strengthen the water network in Abis. The project scope of work: 2 production lines with a capacity 120.000m³/day for each line - water intake on the potable water lake – clarifiers – filters - fast and slow mixing - wards for turbid and filtered water pumps – buildings for emergency generator , chemicals labs and chlorine – administrative building – store – workshop – 3 ground tanks 25.000m³/day, dual line 1500mm diameter and 400ml for the intake of the turbid water's ward.
