Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab – The Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Dr. Said Abdel Aziz – Sharqia Governor and Eng. Mohsen Salah – AC Chairman toured the expansion of Zagazig Wastewater Plant serves Zagazig and its surroundings and 1.5 million persons benefit from it. The Manager of East and Middle Delta Department which executed the project stated that the project scope of work to increase the capacity of the old plant from 80000m³/day to 172000m³/day with a total cost EGP 380 million.
Eng. Sayed Mohammed El Sayed – Projects Manager added that the workdone value is EGP 180 million. The project includes: a treatment plant – 5 pumping stations. It serves other surroundings' substations. The plant built upon 15 feddans. The project scope of work: an entry – clarifiers – 4 primary sediment basins – 4 final sediment basins – mechanical ventilation basin – sludge basin – buildings for chlorine, generators, transformers, labs and workshop. It is expected to be accomplished on June 2015.
