Minister of Housing Inaugurated Nawira Wastewater Station in Bani Suief and Toured Abou Selim Potable Water Station

Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab – Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities inaugurated Nawira Wastewater Station in Bani Suief and toured Abou Selim Potable Water Station. The Manager of North Upper Egypt Branch said that Nawira project capacity is 2000m³/day with total cost EGP 20 million. The project scope of work is 16000ML, 4 culverts, open cut with varied diameters under lakes and drains, a main pumping station including a manhole 10m diameter and 7m depth, operating room, 3 pumps 228l/sec. for each one, stock, walls serving 50 feddans and draining for an existing treatment plant in Ahnasia away from it about 6200ML. Eng. Aboul Hamd Fekry added that Abou Selim Potable Water Station scope of work is: pipelines extended for 14 km (300:1200mm diameters), a water station 2000 l/sec. includes intake, manholes for turbid and filtered water, pumps building, filters building, 2 ground tanks 2500m³ for each one, chlorine, chemicals, transformers and generators buildings. Besides, the project includes a stock, workshop, administrative building, a mosque, horizontal culverts using pipe jacking system under the railway and Ibrahimia lake 2500mm diameter, 8 upper culverts with different diameters, open cut culvert 1000mm diameter, elevated tank 2000m³ in Belvia with a total cost EGP 320 million.
