3 New Development Projects in South Sudan with Egyptian Grant 7.2 million US$

Within the framework of strengthen the cooperation with South Sudan in the different fields; the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Mohamed Baha'a El Din attended the signing of 3 contracts of development projects which will be executed by the Arab Contractors Company through  Egyptian Grant 7.2 million US$. Dr. Baha'a El Din wished that the AC succeed in its mission in South Sudan and praised its good fame and grand achievement in Africa.

The 3 projects are as follow: the construction of river anchorage in Bentiu to link the capital of the Unity state to Western Bahr El Ghazal State for navigation purposes, rehabilitation of 3 stations to measure levels of Bahr el-Ghazal Basin, Mangellbur in Bahr Al Jabal Basin to provide the required data for the studies and development projects in South Sudan. In addition to the construction of pumping stations on Al Gour River in Wau, the capital of Western Bahr El Ghazal to provide potable water to the inhabitants and livestock in the distant districts and villages from the water resources.
