Minister of Antiquities Inaugurated Serapeum Tomb in Sakkara

Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Minister of Antiquities, Dr. Ali Abdel Rahman – Giza Governor and a number of the ambassadors inaugurated Serapeum tomb after its restoration to draw the tourists back to Egypt during this Winter Season and as a message to the whole world that Egypt is a secure stable country.
It is noteworthy that this tomb of enormous archaeological importance history backs to 18th Dynasty and the Late Age. It included underground long passageways to bury the sacred Apis Bull mummies in a huge granite tomb.  The underground passageways length is 380m branched into side rooms include 24 granite sarcophagus, each one of them weight 85 tons.
