Eng. Mahlab, CEO and President of the AC touring the projects of North Upper Egypt branch in Bani Suief and Menia. Firstly, he visited Bani Suief University built upon 325 feddan with a total cost EGP 560 million including: engineering, nursing, physical education faculties and 3 buildings of girls' hostel, sport city including swimming pool, indoor hall, stadium and open playground. Besides, he toured the 840 feddan utilities project in New Menia which the department executed in cooperation with Assiut, Helwan, Nasr City, Upper Egypt Roads, Labs, Electromechanical Works, Tunnels and Slip Forms and Engineering Consulting departments. The project total value is EGP 400 million, the project includes: water and sewage networks, power plant, 2 pumping stations, culverts and drainage. For the first time in Egypt, the AC used Benkelman ruler method to define the choice of the filling works for the road through using the outcome of rocks cutting (stress fracture less than 100kgm/cm³) for drilling heights more than 6m. Besides, Eng. Mahlab toured Saddat Academy and Distinguished schools in Menia.
