Prime Minister Dr. Essam Sharaf inaugurated the Holy Virgin Church in Imbaba in its new look after renovation within 21 days only among slogans of thousands of young imbaba people stating that Muslims and Christians are as one (Muslim and Christian…one hand).
The Prime Minister described the Church renewal as an important event for both Muslims and Copts which reveals their coexistence and tolerance since more than 14 centuries.The Prime Minister has still warned the damage attempts of the national unity.
That was on Tuesday 7th May 2011, in the presence of General Mansour el-Essawy- interior minister,Major General Mohsen Noamany-Minister of Local Development,Dr.Ahmed Hassan El-Borai-Minister of Manpower and Immigration,Dr.ALi Abdel Rahman-Governor of Giza,Eng.Ibrahim Mahlab-Chairman of the board and CEO of The Arab Contractors Co.,Eng.Abdel Latef Ghobara-Board Member,Eng.Emam Afifi-Head of Construction and Specialized works Sector and Eng.Mahmoud Abdel Fattah- Project Manager.
It is worth mentioning that more than 310 engineers,supervisors, workers and administratives have participated in this work from different departments such as Monuments Restoration Department,Finishing and Sanitary Works Department,Carpentry factory in 10th of Ramadan City,Factories and Central Workshops Department in Shobra as well as Consulting Engineering and Technical Services Sector.
