Arab Contractors will Build a Million Housing Units in Iraq

During his successful visit to Iraq, Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab - President and CEO of the Arab Contractors Co. held a series of important meetings with Iraqi Prime Minister, Iraqi Minister of Housing and the Governor of Baghdad. "The Arab Contractors company will build one million housing units in several Iraqi provinces and restoring the archeological street of Al Rasheed in Baghdad." said Eng. Mahlab.

He noted that Iraqi Prime Minister also gave instructions to help the AC having access to a tender for launching a subway metro in Baghdad along with eight global companies as well as the modernizing of streets in the area surrounding the conference hall that is scheduled to host the forthcoming Arab summit in February 2011. Besides; the AC contribution in the restoration of the Iraqi monuments and the modernization and the construction of Iraqi ports. Eng. Mahlab stated that the initial projects cost ranged between 300 to 400 million dollars.

It is noteworthy that during Iraqi Minister of Housing visit to Egypt and meeting with Eng. Ahmad El Maghraby - Minister of Housing Utilities and Urban Development has praised Mubarak Housing Project for Youth and demand to implement the same idea in Iraq.
