Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif inaugurated the wastewater station in Qahafa, eastern Fayoum, to increase its capacity from 40.000m³/day to 60.000m³/day; its total value is EGP 35 million.
The ministers of housing, local development, electricity, higher education, health, Fayoum governor, head of the national authority for portable water and wastewater accompanied him.
The project manager stated that this phase will add 20.000m³/day to the station capacity and 420.000 person will benefit from it. The project includes: . (2) primary deposition basin, deposition primary well, (2) sedimentation basin, sludge lifting building, spiral lifting station building, sludge basin, transformers building and (36) sludge drying basin and 2000 ml internal networks from ductile iron with a varied diameters.
