First Lady of Egypt Inaugurated the Royal Jewelry Museum in Alex

H.E. Suzanne Mubarak, First Lady of the Arab Republic of Egypt inaugurated the Royal Jewelry Museum in Alex after its restoration and renovation with the state of the art showing techniques, electronic control and fire fighting systems. In the presence of Mr. Farouk Hosni – Minister of Culture, General Adel Labib – Alex Governor, Dr. Zahi Hawass - Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, President and CEO of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Abdul Latif Ghobara – Board Member, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Fattah – Head of Museums Sector and Dr. Ibrahim Darwish – Director of the Alexandria National Museum. H.E. Suzanne Mubarak touring the museum located in the Palace of Princess Fatma Al Zahraa – the granddaughter of Khedive Ismail in Zizinia District. It is consisting of 31 halls include 689 piece. Besides; she toured the Hall of sovereignty medals, the rooms of Princes, Princesses, Prince Toson and Queen Farida. It is noteworthy that in 1986 President Mubarak ordered to dedicate this palace as the Royal Jewelry Museum. Eng. Salam Abdel Moneim – Manager of Monuments Restoration Department and Eng. Bahaa Al Husseini – Manager of Accurate Restoration Unit stated that the Supreme Council of Antiquities assigned the restoration works to the Arab Contractors to ensure the work accuracy and maintain the architectural style of the building internally and externally using the state of the art scientific methods.
