On Saturday 19th December 2009, Eng. Osama Shawky – Vice President of the Arab Contractors setting the arena for the grand floating hotel in Egypt "Moon Star" on High Dam Lake. In the presence of Eng. Ahmed Hussein – Head of Sector, Eng. Mohamed Zein – Head of Manufacturing Sector, Eng. Osama Abdullah – Manager of Maasara Shipyard Dept. and Eng. Assem Edward – Manager of South Valley Branch. Eng. Kamal Abdul Fatah – Manager of Aswan Shipyard – the executing department for the project- declared that the floating hotel "Moon Star" including 79 double cabin, 8 suites, 55 floors, helicopters airstrip, fire fighting and electrical equipment. The hotel total height is 115m, and 19 m width. The unit is designed as a self-maintenance for 20 years, its execution initial value is EGP 22 million and it'll be carried out under the supervision of the German Supervisory Authority (GL).
