On Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in Maasara Shipyard-- General Mohammad Abdul Salam Al Mahgoub - Minister of State for Local Development, Dr. Ahmed Diaa El-Din Khalil - Menia Governor, Dr. Hazem El Quwedi - Governor of Helwan, Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab - President and CEO of the Arab Contractors and Eng. Osama Shawki – Vice-President for Electromechanical Works launching two ferries in Menia governorate(capacity: 75 tons for each) according to the international standards and executed by the Egyptian expertise. Eng. Ahmed Hussein - Head of Manufacturing and electromechanical Projects and Eng. Mohammed Zein - Head of Manufacturing Sector and Eng. Osama Abdullah - Manager of Maasara Shipyard stated that the Minister of State for Local Development praised the quality of the ferries' works and decided that Arab Contractors Shipyard will carry out the manufacturing of another 10 ferries.
