Inauguration of The Lebanon Square Bridge

Lebanon square bridge has been inaugurated today. It is an example of our Fast-Track capabilities as it was completed 6 months a head of schedule. It resolves the traffic conflict points at this area and is part of the 26th of July Corridor overall route. Its importance stems from the fact that it accommodates most of the traffic flow between Cairo and the North West Coast of Egypt including Alexandria. It is 600m in length and the superstructure is composed of precast prestressed concrete girders as well as one steel span of 52m. The bridge was inaugurated by H.E. the Prime Minister, Dr Ahmed Nazif in the presence of the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development; the Minister of Transport; Giza Governor; Cairo Governor; the Head of the Central Development Authority; and the Chairman of the Arab Contractors
