Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab
President & CEO
Ibrahim Mahlab is chairman of the
board and CEO of The Arab Contractors Co., one of the world's leading construction
companies in the Middle East. Besides; he is the Chairman of the Arab Contractors
Investments Company, the Arab Contractors Employees Insurance fund and the Arab
Contractors Sporting Club.
Prior to assuming his current position in November 2001, Mahlab served as Vice-Chairman
of The Arab Contractors Co. (February 1997). He has served as Board Member (January
1996). He was the Manager of Bridge Department (December 1994). Besides, he served
as Technical Manager of Saudi Arab Contractors Company (1985-1987).
Since joining the Arab Contractors Company in 1972, Mahlab handling different construction
projects such as: bridges, tunnels, sports buildings, monuments restoration and
power plants.
Mahlab has occupied various positions such as: Vice-Chairman of the Egyptian Federation
of Construction & Building Contractors, Head of Foreign Relations Committee
of the Egyptian Federation of Construction & Building Contractors, Board Member
of the Civil Engineering Studies & Researches Center- Faculty of Engineering
- Cairo University, Board Member of the Building & Housing Researches Center,
Vice-Chairman of the Association of Enterprises for Environmental Conservation,
Board Member of Governors of the Arab Water Council and Board Member of El Nasr
Castings, Board Member of Suez Canal Bank and Board Member of Trustees of French
University.
Active in a variety of business and professional organizations, Mahlab is a member
of the International Association for Bridges and Structural Engineers (I.A.B.S.E)
ZURICH - Switzerland, Civil Engineers Community, Member of the permanent committee
for the Egyptian code for the Conditions & Designing Basis of the Concrete Building
Execution, Member of the Permanent Committee for Bridges' Code, Egyptian-French
Presidential Council, Club d'Affaires Franco - Egyptian, American Chamber of Commerce
in Egypt (AmCham), French University Sponsor Council, High Council for Policies
- National Democratic Party.
Mahlab graduated from the Cairo University in 1972, with a degree in Civil Engineering. |
