Mrs. Huda Halim Abu Seif

A public relations and marketing expert with
40 years of experience in advertising, marketing, and public awareness campaigning.
Founder and president of Egypt’s leading private marketing research and public relations
company, her proven expertise and vast network of connections makes her the first
choice of multinational companies operating in Egypt. Her special expertise lies,
in designing marketing and communication strategies, for Egyptian companies,and
multinationals, such as IBM, Daimler Chrysler, Procter & Gamble, Cadbury Egypt.
She works closely with government entities as consultant for communication strategies.
She is consultant for GAFI – for "Egypt Investment Promotion Campaign", presently
being implemented in 10 countries in Europe, M.E. and Asia.
Her international relations are widespread in the US, Europe and the Middle East.
She began her career at the beginning of the sixties, she formed Radar Advertising
Agency. The only private sector advertising agency in a completely state-run economy
where granting contracts to private firms was difficult. Developed advertising campaigns
for international clients who used Egyptian press as vehicle for wider Middle East
exposure. Managed Proctor & Gamble account from 1962 until 1967, when the company
was nationalized. From 1975 until 1982 designed advertising campaigns for multi-national
corporations that entered Egypt after initiation of the free market economy (Open-Door
Policy).
In 1982 and formed Rada Research & Public Relations Company, President and Managing
Director. Special expertise in designing marketing and communications strategies.
She was elected in several international positions: World President for International
Public Relations Associations (IPRA) for 2006. She served as council member for
IPRA – for 6 years, as national chair for IPRA, representing Egypt on the council
and the board for over 8 years. She was board member of Gallup International for
4 years, coordinated polls for global PR practice, between Gallup International
and IPRA.
She served as judge for the IPRA Golden World Awards For Excellence for 6 years.
Has participated in the IPRA media transparency surveys and actively promoting the
concept of media transparency in Egypt and the region, with the relevant stakeholders.
She speaks at many PR international conferences across the globe: Including Russia,
China, Kazakhstan, and several cities in Europe and the Middle East.
From 1986 till 1989, she was part time Professor, at the American University in
Cairo, teaching undergraduate two courses: Public Relations and Advanced Advertising.
In 2000, teaching undergraduates public relations course, in Misr International
University. Presently, teaching Public Relations Diploma –American University in
Cairo.
She received many awards. She Received the AmCham “Special Achievement Award” in
2004. Selected as one of the 50 Arab leading businesswomen in the Middle East 2006,
by Forbes Middle East. Selected as one of the 50 Leading Women Entrepreneurs of
the World by the Star Group, sponsored by IBM and Fortune Magazine, in May, 1998.
Received the Samir Fares Award at the International Advertising Association Congress
held in Cairo, May 1998, for outstanding contributions to I.A.A. She received Medal
of Merit, International Advertising Association, Chicago, 1986. This medal is given
once every two years, at the IAA World Congress, for outstanding contributions to
the advertising industry.
Mrs. Zaklama graduated from the American University Cairo – BA Mass Communication.
She continued her studies in advanced marketing research in Burke Institute, in
Cincinnati, USA. |
