Mr. Hisham Ahmed Hassan
Chairman of Export Development Bank of Egypt (EDBE).
Hisham Ahmed Hassan Youssef is Chairman of
Export Development Bank of Egypt the main Export arm of the Egyptian Government.
Besides; he is Chairman of Touristic Development Company (Oberoi Sahl Hashish),
Chairman of Egyptian, Company for Tourism & Services, Chairman of Philae Cruiser
Company, Chairman of Egyptian Tourism Development Co., Board Member of Arab Contractors
(Osman Ahmed Osman & Co.), Board Member of the Egyptian Insurance Supervisory
Authority, Board Member of The Egyptian Airports Company, Board Member of the Holding
Company for Roads and Bridges, Board Member of Federal Association of Chambers of
Commerce, Board Member of Heliopolis Sporting Club.
He is also Member of American Chamber of Commerce, Canadian Chamber of Commerce,
German Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Egyptian Businessmen Association,
Egyptian Chinese Business Council, Egyptian Kazakhestan Business Council , Turkish-Egyptian
Businessmen Association, Egyptian European Council, Arab Investors Union, Union
of Arab Banks, Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB), Young President Organization
(YPO), Trade Modernization Committee - Federal Association of Chambers of Commerce,
Economic Committee - National Party- Credit Committee , Federation of Egyptian Industries,
Past President and Present Member of Rotary Club – Nasr City.
Prior to assuming his current position in February 2006, Mr. Hisham Hassan served
as: Managing Director – Suez Canal Bank (2004- 2006), after being working for the
Commercial International Bank (1988-2004), Chase International Bank (1984 -1988)
and Egyptian American Bank (1984).
Mr. Hisham Hassan has also been: Board Member of Trusties of 6th of October University
(2005), Board Member Midallic Electricity Co.(2005-2006) , Board Member Corplease.(2003-2004),
Board Member Bank of Alexandria. (2002), Chairman Water Treatment Activity Company
(BOOT)(1999-2004),Board Member Commercial International Portfolio Management (CIPM)
(1998) , Board Member of Egyptian Group for Manufacturing Investment Co (Ceramica
Prima). (1998), Board Member of Commercial International Life Insurance Company
(CIL). (1998-1999), Chairman (IICHWT) International Investment Holding Company For
Water Treatment Activities (1998-2004), Board Member Modern Packaging Products Co.
"Technopac".(1997-1998), Board Member and Member of the Executive Committee Housing
& Development Bank. (1997-1998), Board Member International Real Estate Development

Mr. Hisham Hassan has been graduated from Ain Shams University Faculty of commerce
